A few months ago, I began memorizing scripture – I started with Psalm 32. Today, I had the opportunity to take what I’ve learned from memorizing and meditating on this Psalm and share it in a sermon.
This Psalm was written after Psalm 51 which chronicles Davids confession and appeal to God for mercy after his adultery with Bathsheba and murdering her husband by the hand of the Amorites (2 Sam 12:9).
This Psalm was written for instruction – David had experienced the joy of forgiveness and is recounting his experience through the period of time following his sin through to the time after he penned Psalm 51.
This is a Psalm that has great application for those of us who want to grow our walk with the Lord.
